Saw Till Glue up

I cut the sides of my saw till to look like .. well, a saw.  At least that's what it looked like to me.  I cut this using the band saw and then used my new Veritas® Low-Angle Spokeshave. Umm .. I've used a spokeshave before and I found it to be a difficult endeavor.  I love my new spokeshave.  Wow! , it was so easy to use and left a beautiful surface.  I'm hooked!

Then I glued up the carcass and started a little clean up.

  1. I used a spokeshave for the first time on Gretchin's Cradle. I'm hooked, too. It was just a joy to use. Talk about fine tuning fit!!! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.

  2. I have found this to be the case for a lot of my hand tools. I keep finding "new favorite tool" that allows me to make a really fine fit in a joint or a really nice surface. Yeah! for tools!
